Technical Documentation Coordinator

About the Job

We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Technical Documentation Coordinator.

To ensure Equipment Certification Files (ECFs) are completed on time and in full, in line with the project schedules. Compile electronic ATEX Files for any hazardous area capital project equipment. To provide support for technical authors by taking responsibility for documentation updates and revision control following initial submittal to clients and review outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate source information: engineering drawings, design specifications, bills of materials etc. to compile a list of required certificates for stainless steel fabrications, fans, valves, polymers, HEPA filters and instrumentation etc.
  • Expedite material and calibration certificates from sub-suppliers via Purchasing or direct contact.
  • Interleave original certificates within a Word generated framework document to create a hard copy “original” ECF for all Pharma projects.
  • Generate a bookmarked PDF of the as-built ECF for HAT directory and submittal to clients.
  • Compile ATEX files for hazardous area projects.
  • Expedite IHAs from design department and certification from suppliers.
  • Submit ATEX files to Sira.
  • Timely scanning of completed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documents to relevant project directory and notify key stakeholders
  • The Technical Documentation Coordinator will develop the role to take responsibilities to support the team leader and technical authors

Desired Professional Experience

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications & Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Proficient in the use of SAGE for referencing purchase order details and status.
  • Good understanding of how a project-based engineering company operates.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and parts lists.
  • Appreciate the importance of accuracy in technical documentation.
  • Experience working in an air handling / processing business desirable.
