About the Job

We are delighted that due to our continued growth we have a vacancy for a Service Engineer role within our Service & Aftersales team.

The role will be working as part of the team to carry out servicing on Howorth’s own and other manufacturers Medical & Pharmaceutical equipment around the UK, whilst building and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities

To service & repair Medical and Pharmaceutical equipment, thus reducing down-time of equipment to comply with statutory regulations.

To preserve and enhance technical competence of Howorth Group global service engineering operation.

Excellent Customer service skills even in challenging circumstances with the ability to delight our customer base.

Being flexible with working hours (working unsociable hours around operating theatres and essential systems) and with working away from home (potentially 4 nights per week) is essential.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Electrical (or) Mechanical Engineering.

Electrical Inspection and Testing Qualification (City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent).

Ability to travel the UK, with a clean driving license.

Desirable Qualifications

Eastwood Park Authorised Person for Ventilation - AP(V).

BOHS P series qualifications (P601, 602, 603, 604).

Experience of LEV Systems based in Life Science environments.

Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671.

Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an Engineering Discipline.

Higher National Diploma (HND) in an Engineering Discipline.

Desired Professional Experience

Verification of critical ventilation systems in accordance to HTM 03 01 (2021) Part B.

Servicing of the following equipment; Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fume cupboards, safety cabinets, multi movement pendants, operating lights and theatre control panels.

An understanding HTM 03-01 (2021) Parts A and B.

MBAS Testing Procedures.
