Pharma Project Manager

About the Job

We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Pharma Project Manager.

To Plan, Manage and Co-ordinate Pharma/Medical Projects from Order to Commissioning/Handover delivering a quality product on time and with the agreed margin.

Responsibilities

  • Planning the project using the company’s agreed Project Management Guidelines (ISO Standard) including project tasks, critical path analysis and milestones
  • Creating the project programme of works with major milestones and liaising with the Customer and subcontractors throughout the term of the project. 
  • Attending contract kick off meetings at customer sites
  • Identifying and procuring long lead items and equipment to meet the project needs and programme.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of drawings and schematics for Customer approval/comment.
  • Carrying out site surveys and providing a supervisory on-site role where necessary.
  • Maintaining or increasing the sales estimated margin and identifying ‘overspends’ getting these authorised by the Programme Manager or in his/her absence the General Manager
  • Providing a project status report and updating the financial report weekly.
  • Reporting technical and financial inaccuracies from sales quotations.
  • Invoicing in accordance with Customer major milestones and any stage payment contractual agreements proactively bringing any potential shortfalls to the attention of the Programme Manager together with plans to bring the situation back within project scope/invoicing schedule

Desired Professional Experience

  • Have relevant educational qualifications and/or experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management or Project Management
  • Basic knowledge of production / manufacturing drawings
  • Have knowledge and experience of Pharmaceutical equipment / products.
  • Experience planning, executing and monitoring projects using proven project methodology
