Pharma Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Engineer

We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for two Mechanical Fitters / Assembly Engineers within our Pharma Assembly Team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of our Pharma product range.

Working Location: Head Office | Full-time

Key Responsibilities

As part of your role at Howorth, your responsibilities will include:

  • Fitment of mechanical components and construction of mechanical assemblies
  • Installation of valves and pipework
  • Bespoke fitment of parts
  • Understanding of technical drawings
  • Use hand and power tools competently
  • Assist other trades personnel as required
  • Travel globally to perform installations once skilled in assembly techniques
  • Work under own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Independently problem solve
  • Communicate with colleagues and supervision to achieve required output
  • Assist with the development of assembly procedures to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Plan and prioritise own workloads to ensure that tasks are completed on time

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly and component drawings
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Experience of working with stainless steel
  • Specific knowledge of methods and techniques used in mechanical assembly and component fitment
  • Experience of direct client contact
