Medical Assembly Technician

We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Medical Assembly Technician within our Medical Production Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of our medical product range to meet customer demands and quality standards.

Working Location: Service Centre | Full-time

Key Responsibilities

As part of your role at Howorth, your responsibilities will include:

  • The role is primarily workshop based however some travel could be required. For example, but not limited to, visiting client sites to install pre-assembled equipment.
  • To assemble and wire our medical product range including sub – assemblies.
  • To include general labouring activities as required.
  • Packing and loading of equipment.
  • Undertake deliveries & collections as required.
  • Use and maintain tools for the purpose of completing engineering tasks.
  • Assist other trades such as fabrication as may be required to help complete work activities.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Bring technical queries to the attention of the wider team as appropriate.
  • Prioritise the workload, ensuring deadlines are maintained consistently.
  • Any other reasonable activity requested by the line manager.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of the assembly of Mechanical and Electrical equipment.
  • Experience in following engineering instructions.
  • Able to read technical drawings.
  • Electrical training / knowledge to C&G level (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Full clean driving licence.

  • Checking & sign off electrical assembly works as required
