This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Board team as an Executive Assistant. This role is key in keeping our leadership team running smoothly, providing vital support to the COO and helping shape the future of Howorth.

As the Executive Assistant to our COO and Leadership Team, you'll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing busy schedules and coordinating key meetings and projects to handling important communications, your role will be essential in helping our Leadership Team to focus on driving the business forward.
You'll also play a part in supporting our HR team with confidential tasks, giving you a unique opportunity to work across different areas of the business.
Working Location: Head Office, Bolton | Full-time
Key Responsibilities
As part of your role at Howorth, your responsibilities will include:
- Calendar Management: Organise and maintain the COO’s calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments while prioritising urgent matters.
- Communication Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the COO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, highlighting and filtering any critical correspondence
- Internal communications support: Collaborate with the HR and Communications teams to coordinate internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging from leadership across departments.
- Meeting Coordination: Organising venues, coordinating calendars, Preparing agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items from meetings.
- Event planning & coordination: Organise and manage logistics for leadership off-sites, strategy workshops, and company-wide events, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with company goals.
- Travel Arrangements: Plan and coordinate travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed for meetings and projects. Helping the COO make timely and informed decisions.
- Project Support: Provide hands-on support with special projects and initiatives as directed by the COO to push our strategic goals forward . Support with cross-departmental alignment through our Programme Management Office.
- Cross-departmental liaison: Facilitate collaboration between leadership and other departments, ensuring alignment on projects and initiatives, and acting as a key contact for cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar administrative or operational support role, preferably within a growth-focused environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure.
- Responsive and customer-focused mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and anticipating needs.
- Experience working with senior leadership and handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Supportive team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, professional correspondence and reports.
- A high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate complex situations and support a dynamic leadership team.
Desired Experience
